Based at the magnificent Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, the Academy is located only 20 miles from downtown Dubai at the luxurious retreat of Madinat Jumeirah, on the Babal Shans Road - opposite Arabian Ranches.
Dubai City`s evolution has been dramatic, with an ever changing skyline and numerous world-class hotels, outstanding sports facilities and wonderful shopping centres. The climate is sunshine year-round with minimal rain.
The Polo Academy is a multifunctional operation ofering a wide spectrum of polo services. Expert tuitition is given by our HPA qualified coaches, along with a quality service offered to all visiting players. Coaches are able to quickly assess a client`s ability and produce a course specific to the individual. Fast track learning is the name of the game - in a fun and friendly environment. This fits into a budget that matches most other serious recreational pursuits.
Many visitors have enjoyed and benefited from this intensive 3 day course and whether you are new to the sport or already playing, you will improve your skills under expert tuition.
All equipment is provided including helmets and chaps. Lessons start early at 7 am and run through 7 days a week.
Costs for an intensive 3 day course are 5,000 AED per person.

In addition to this, a playing guest with an International recognized handicap can play club chukkas subject to availability and level of chukkas on the day :
Green Fee: 600 AED
Horse hire: 500AED per chukka (minimum 4 chukkas)
(We encourage a compulsary stick and ball session prior to playing to allow us to assess the ability and type of horse to be allocated).
With over 80 resident horses at the club there will always be a pony to suit any standard and ability. The ponies are hand picked for their versatility from the UK and Argentina. From the slowest `confidence giver` for beginners - to the `equine ferrari` for players participating in tournaments and matches - therefore a horse to suit all abilities.
Training programmes have been carefully structured to ensure you make the most of your trip to Dubai and lessons are generally scheduled early morning and late afternoon to allow for the all important suntan, shopping and sight-seeing! Whether you’re on a quick business trip and want to brush up on your stick and ball or are a ‘complete beginner’ starting from scratch, the Academy team of professional instructors, will ensure your time with us is beneficial.
This 3 day polo holiday/course is a comprehensive introduction to the game and is designed to fit perfectly within a five day luxury break at any one of our recommended resorts.
The 3 day Polo Holiday Itinerary is set out as follows :
Day 1:
8am – 8.15am - Introduction and Welcome briefing
8:15am – 9:30am - Riding skills
9:30am – 9:45am- Break
9:45am- 11am - Mallet swing technique
Day 2 :
8am- 8.15am - Debrief on previous day
8:15am – 9:30am - Riding skills
9:30am- 9:45am – Break
9:45am – 11am - Stick & Ball
Day 3 :
8am- 8:15am - Debrief of previous day
8:15am – 9:30am - Stick & Ball

9:45am – 11am - Rules, Tactics : theory and practical
Day 1 and Day 2 at 5pm - Chukkas
3rd Day at 6pm - Prize presentation
3rd Day at 8pm - Players graduation dinner at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Barasti.

The Polo Academy will shortly be launching Camel Polo. Camels are good natured and highly entertaining and bring a new angle to the traditional game of polo. Training continues this year - please email for news and progress.
