The 5th Chukka Polo Club and girls of the all African polo team – bella  MATATA – have organised the first ever female polo tournament in Nigeria.

The tournament will be played alongside the coveted charity field tournament, from the 3rd- 8th June, at the 5th chukka Polo Club in Kaduna, Nigeria.

The game will have the all African female polo team (bella MATATA), playing an all "American" female polo team.

The games are being played in aid of Unicef, and the teams are supported by Time Out Nigeria, Virgin Nigeria and Caverton Helicopters.  A special auction will also be taking place which will include some exciting lots - eg a Brazilian Football team signed shirt !

The event looks to be a ground breaking event for West Africa – setting out to encourage more African females into the sport of polo.
