To help ease bunching in the corners the following rule explains :

The ‘Hancock Zone’ is an area marked on the sidewalls, 15 yards from each corner depending on the width of the Arena – the back wall is marked between 10 yards (minimum) to 15 yards (maximum) from each corner.  The Zone extends 5 feet in from the walls between these points.

Any attacking player entering this area and making a play with a defending player in a defensive position, may hit/tap the ball only once.  Any attacking player who loses possession of the ball must maintain the speed of the game or move immediately out of the ‘right of way’.  Any attacking player is considered to be in the Hancock Zone whilst making a play on the ball which is in the area, or their pony is in the area – or both are inside the area.  Once the ball has left the Hancock Zone, any attacking player is eligible to play the ball.

Infringement of this rule by the attacking team will incur a Penalty 6.
